A delegation from Iraq Representative Council visited KUST
A delegation from Iraq Representative Council Headed by Dr. Meqdam Al Jumaily the head of higher education committee accompanied by Dr. Taha Hamad Amin the coordinator and Mr. Mariwan Nadr, member of the Education Committee of IRC visited Komar University of Science and Technology on Wednesday 4th November 2020. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Saeed, the president of KUST and Prof. Dr. Kawis Aziz Faraj, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
At the beginning of the visit the delegation visited the university’s facilities and buildings: Lab Building and the two newly buildings of Dentistry and Pharmacy.
At the end of the visit a presentation session was conducted in the Auditorium for the delegation. The presentation was prepared by Mr. Twana Abdulrazaq the Director of QA. In his lecture, he presented the history and foundation of the university, the stages of its development, the administrative structure, the mission and the vision of the university, the system and the teaching style program in Komar university.
From their side, the visiting delegation expressed their happiness and admiration for what they have seen in komar university as a high-quality university in the region, and expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and thanked the komar university and they wished the university greater advancement and more progress in near future.
Earlier this morning the president of KUST had participated in a meeting held in the campus of Sulaymaniyah University, in which the visiting delegation participated in, with the presidents of the universities of Sulaymaniyah, polyTechnic, Garmayan, Halabja and Cihan. During the meeting several issues were discussed related to the Equalization process of Diplomas, upgrading the scientific level of the Iraqi universities and universities in KRG and holding a scientific conference in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
