Komar University Hosts Week-Long Faculty Training on Quality Assurance and Sustainable Development
The Office of Quality Assurance at Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) recently organized a comprehensive week-long training session for faculty members. This initiative focused on enhancing teaching methodologies and aligning academic activities with the university’s commitment to quality education and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The training covered various essential topics, including the unique teaching style at KUST, the importance of learning by doing and addressing undesirable teaching methods. A special focus was placed on crafting effective exam questions and prioritizing students’ mental health in the learning environment.
Throughout the week, different departments actively participated by presenting their strategic plans for enhancing the quality of education. These plans included organizing academic conferences and other scholarly activities that support KUST’s mission of academic excellence. Each department also showcased how they intend to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals through their educational practices.
In addition, faculty members presented their course syllabi, reflecting their commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with both the university’s educational goals and global sustainability efforts.
